IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

I’ve been wanting to tell you guys since these ideas came into mind and were put into action and I finally get to!

Here we go!
Let's start with when Fantasy High will be opening!
Over the past two weeks, we moderators have been discussing A LOT of things; what we want out of the school, what we want out of members of the family, and what we want out of ourselves. The issue that was at hand had a lot to do with our expectations of the school, our expectations of ourselves, and ultimately how we went about moderating this site.

A lot of changes have been made and are in the process of being made. In the process of being made is the key combination of words here, because there is SO much under construction! I know you guys have waited with hopes for the last two weeks, and I thank you for it! We ask for another one to two weeks of your patience, because we are getting some major things done! I’ll give you some teasers that are underway, just so you know what you’re waiting for!

Let’s continue on with changes!
Everyone, including moderators, will be reapplying.
A brand new application is just about done. It’s much more in depth than the previous application because we want everyone to really have a connection to their muse, and we really want to peer into that imagination of yours! In this application, we’re not looking for ability, we’re looking for understanding of your character and an idea of where you want your character to go. This an RP Site and we want to be sure we stay just that! There are standards for these applications and if you’re unable to meet them, we’ll help you out until you are able to complete the application successfully. We will still accept everyone, but we want people who are willing to work with us!

If you contacted us or ‘liked’ the post we made, when we’re ready for people to apply, you will be asked if you would like to keep your character. No new reservations will be accepted until we know who is claiming which character. If you choose not to keep your current muse, you will have first pick of a new character!

You may keep two muses still, but you will have to fill out an application for them both. We expect no less from your second application as we do your first, so keep that in mind!
Dividing the school into three.
From what I’ve gathered, everything became a little too much to handle when the group got bigger, when we were unable to reach out to everyone, and when we were handling more issues than we knew how to. The moderators have come up with a solution.

Fantasy High will be split into three houses:

The house of Bahamut

The house of Ixion

The house of Valefor

How this works:

Each house will have its own site. (#Teaser Number 1; If you would like a preview that is underco, go here). Each house’s site will be linked to the main page. After your character has been confirmed, you will be told which house you’re going apply for. Placement in a house will be determined by body count; we want each house to have as equal of a body count as possible.

Each house will have one to two moderator(s). These moderators will be your advisers. If you’re to need an aid, whether it be in character, out of character, regarding FHS, disregarding FHS, your advisers will be there to help you out! Each will have a faceclaim and alias name, in case you feel more comfortable with one than the other. You can always request to speak to one of the advisers rather than the other! Their duties will include getting you guys situated, checking up on you, and keeping an eye out for you. We want to be sure you guys are at our fingertips and that we’re at yours!

Each house will have one to two student representative(s). These will be the characters of the moderators, so that you’re able to contact us when we’re not available on our advisory sites.

A month will be assigned to each house. During this month, advisers will get their student body together so they, together, can plan an event. This could be held over Tiny Chat or any other way the group feels comfortable with!

Does this mean we can only interact with people within our houses?

No! All this means is that when you have an issue or dilemma, you will have someone to talk to and someone able to help you in any way they’re able to. Houses will have dorms, but everyone will still be going to the same school; you may even get a roommate to break the ice for new comers!

Do our characters have to live in the dorms?

At the moment, we are still debating on this. If not, there will be option for other living situations!
Becoming realistic and only accepting students.
We feel that becoming a more realistic high school will create an easier environment to deal with, for we won’t have to worry about weapon specialties, who is stronger than who, levels, abilities, etc. Our courses will offer updated and modern teachings, as well as electives you’re able to choose from. We also hope to offer a wide variety of clubs; we will allow the student body to make these clubs if they’re willing to put forth the effort into making threads out of them!

Teachers were a huge discussion. Homework was a huge issue for a lot of people, and without homework, we didn’t see much of a point for teachers. So, for the time being, we will only be accepting students.

If you’re wishing to apply for an older character, we will accept IC counselors. So, let’s say someone is to apply for Kairi’s Grandmother. They will become a counselor directed to a specific house that they will counsel for. They will fill out an application like everyone else. They will be allowed to interact with students and other counselors outside of school, as well as in school. Students can come to them for advice or for funny stories, AS LONG AS they’re in character!
Our 'About' page
We will be creating an ‘About’ page that will enable others to know a brief piece of your muse, as well as a little about yourself.

This will include:

Your time zone for availability purposes

Whether or not you RP NSFW for comfort purposes

Whether or not you ship for comfort purposes

and

Your muse’s Name | Age | Gender | Sexual Orientation | Grade

You’re muse’s schedule

A summary of your muse

Now, to wrap this up!
For now, that’s about as much that needs to be known. A few changes will be added to the rules, but you will be able to see that when it happens. We hope to be updating you as everything goes on and we will message everyone on our “Staying List” when we’re ready for reservations.

How Fantasy High functions, is run, and is set up will undergo the most brilliant changes it ever has up to date! We think everyone will be very pleased with the alternations if they choose to stay with us after being told them. We’ve been wanting to be able to keep everyone at our personal fingertips and finally have found a way to do just that!

An Update
